How to Tank Mix and Spray AgriPhage
When we sit down and evaluate ways to improve operational efficiency and sustainability across our IPM programs, many factors need to be taken into consideration. This is especially important when developing our various tank-mixing schedules. To achieve time and labor savings on the farm, multiple products will need to be mixed into each application tank. As we develop our IPM programs, here are some questions we should be asking ourselves:
- Is our process too cumbersome for the employee who’s actually applying and mixing the various pesticides and fertilizers?
- Do special precautions need to be implemented with different applications?
- Are some of the products I’m adding to my tank canceling out or diminishing the efficacy of other necessary inputs?
AgriPhage is simple and safe for workers and the environment.
With minimal standard PPE requirements, AgriPhage just needs to be added to the tank last, not mixed into a slurry bucket. It will readily and easily disperse into the tank water.
What Can You Mix with AgriPhage?
A product that degrades before it reaches the crop delivers nothing — regardless of what the label says. AgriPhage is a live biological product. Mixing with other products can dramatically help or hurt your results.
AgriPhage is compatible with a wide range of SAR’s, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, surfactants, and other biologicals used in commercial spray programs. Most of what is already in your rotation will work with, and possibly increase the efficacy of AgriPhage. Only a handful of products — chlorine (city water), high concentrations of kaolin clay, and copper formulations — do not.
Which products are being deactivated in your tanks? The results could surprise you.
Omnilytics tests and maintains a full chemical compatibility list covering all five AgriPhage products: Tomato and Pepper Spot/Speck, CMM, Fire Blight, Citrus Canker, and Nut and Stone Fruit. The list is organized by brand name, active ingredient, category, rate tested, and compatibility status — including time-limited windows where they apply.
It’s the fastest way to confirm you’ll get the best value from your AgriPhage application before you tank-mix.
And, if there’s a product commonly used in your operation that isn’t on the list, send us a little! Within two weeks, we’ll have a full laboratory workup to test compatibility.
